Did you mean:

Are you satisfied with your Fitbit Ionic?

Having received so many negative aswers (which, by the way, I share) I really wish to know if most people or just some people are disatisfied with this product?

I won't ask again if Fitbit Ionic is worthwhile buying. I just want to know who is satisfied with the device?

I am terribly deceived with my third trial.

Hoping that it is not everybody's case?

Does anyone else hate there Fitbit ionic, poor syncing, poor updating, using android and iPad . Not happy at all with this , I thought updates would remedy this but now I can’t even update, totally sucks.

I love the Ionic, and am very satisfied with it - I have had it since they were first released, and have not had any problems with it.  When you say you have "received so many negative aswers", I wonder what percentage of the millions of the trackers that have been sold have a negative view of it? Probably a lot less than your "survey" would indicate.  I am almost certain is is not "most people".

Yes I am very satisfied with my Ionic.  Battery life is great depending on how much I use it for GPS.  Syncs fine with my Iphone.   I have had mine since last November.

I am very satisfied with my Ionic, the only thing i miss is the spo2 sensor data which i hope will be incorporated soon. I havn't had it for more than a week so maybe there will be problems on the longer run.
The Charge 3 on the other hand.. I tried one out for a week and returned it, it was a nightmare full of problems.

Btw.. On forums you will mostly find negative posts and posts from people that have problems with their devices, and not from all the people for whom everything works. For now I'm only here to check up on the status on the spo2 sensor.

Best of luck to you and everybody else with faulty and or problematic devices
Cheers!

I really like my Ionic,

  • The look of it which I know is not to everyone's taste.
  • It's comfortable to wear.
  • The UI on the watch itself, even if its a little choppy swiping through each screen but I like the little designs for each of the icons, stuff like when using the timer app the screen gradually fills up in blue, the relax apps Inhale/Exhale circle.
  • The watch faces, in particular the standard "gauges" one looks awesome!
  • The Fitbit coach app that's built into the watch is really cool that you have a bunch of different exercise routines right on your wrist.
  • The battery life is above average and I usually get 5-6 days out of it before I need to recharge it.
  • Not really the Ionic but the Fitbit app itself is super cool and is much better to use then some other fitness apps I've used in the past.

...But there're are things about the Ionic i'm not too keen on...

  • I have a Samsung S8 and every few days my Ionic loses its Bluetooth pairing and this has been an issue for me since I got the Ionic back in February. (I've tried just about everything suggested on the forum with no joy 😞 )
  • I mentioned I like the battery life but I have had the issue where the battery doesn't last even a day from full charge. Luckily the support guys sent me out a new replacement Ionic but since it i such a wide spread issue i'm worried it might happen again....
  • I wish you could do stuff on the Ionic itself instead of having to go into the phone app i.e add a water record, change the interval workout parameters on the watch instead of having to do it in the phone app and syncing to the Ionic or being able to view your sleep record on the watch.

Overall I am happy with my Ionic, but I've definitely got frustrated numerous time with syncing issues...

I agree with you.
I consider it's defects a real annoyance, in face of one of the prettiest
designs in this type of products. Too bad!

I am on my second Ionic (shattered the screen on my first because I changed the band and didn't click it in properly and the Ionic came loose and fell on a tile floor.  Had that first one a year).

The only problems I have had was my first Ionic was picky about syncing, but that cleared up for me with newer firmware.  Also had the known issue where a tracked workout would crash, but that cleared up for me around the same time as I switched watch faces.  So, maybe an intermittent problem that may come back, or an interaction with the watch face I was using.

I really like the watch, although it's bulkier than I would prefer.  I love the battery life, and I love the Fitbit app software.  I also love the automatic sleep tracking.

When I shattered the screen of my first one I considered going with a different brand as a replacement, but the Ionic checks the boxes of what is important for me, so I got another one.  I hope there is a smaller Ionic 2 in the future.

Ionic paired with Samsung S9+, Android 8. Also use Win 10 PC and Galaxy Tab S3 Fitbit apps. eero home WiFi.

I've been really happy with  my Ionic. There have been none of the issues that people have mentioned here, Most of the quirky stuff has been related to particular clock faces and the one I have now is perfect for what I need. This latest OS update has been very odd and I'm glad to have been one of those not invited to try it. I'd say this issue is my only complaint and since I don't have or want this update until they fix it, I'm still pleased with the product.

Overall, I am dissatisfied with the performance of the Ionic, because:

•  I still cannot use fitbit pay with my preferred card, despite the card being listed as compatible by both fitbit and my bank.  I raised this issue with fitbit support over five months ago, and it has still not been resolved, despite several software updates.
•  The Weather app is glitchy and unreliable; I have added another location in addition to my ‘current location’, many times, but the Ionic just drops this, and I keep having to add it again.
•  notifications of calls, texts and calendar events are not pushed to my Ionic. I’ve checked the forums, and tried the various fixes suggested there.  No joy.
•  When I swipe right from the clock screen, Shortcuts don’t come up.
•  In general, the Ionic is glitchy and buggy, and I have lost confidence in its reliability.  A casual scan through the forums shows clearly that I’m not the only one who feels this way.

I am disappointed that the touted features for which I chose the Ionic, either don’t work at all, or are unreliable, thus defeating the purpose.

No. Have never been able to receive notifications. Everytime I call fitbit they have me go through the same trouble shooting tips, and say software troubles. Now say it's my phone, which is laughable bc according to their website my phone is compatible.
