I recently purchased fitbit Ionic and it is an amazing watch. I love running with it and the GPS is perfect. One request. I think it would be great if we could download audiobooks to the Ionic. I constantly listen to audiobooks. I already listen to them with my phone, but it would be awesome to only need my watch to run and listen to audiobooks. Audible would be great, but also the library app Libby (Overdrive) would be perfect! To be able to track my run and listen to audio books both on my Ionic would "literally" be life changing!! Thanks!

Hi @dtruesdell,
The Ionic can play any mp3 file, so if you can download a digital mp3 of the audiobook, you can listen to it on the watch.
For specific apps to be added to the Ionic, drop by the Feature Suggestion board, which Fitbit monitors for new ideas.

The downside of the suggestion by @WavyDavey , that is the only possible, is that your Ionic will not remember the position. Hence next time you will start to play again the mp3 file it will start again from the beginning. No fast forward is possible.
The only possibility would be to split the mp3 file in chapters and upload every chapter as separate file mp3. But it would be a huge job.
For sake of clarity it is also not possible for independent developers to make an app for the purpose. The SDK provided by Fitbit doesn't allow to store files on the ionic, privilege that is given only to Pandora and Deezer.
