If it was securely fastened to the watch before coming away you need to contact Support (link in my signature)

Are you sure that the band was locked securely in place?  You should hear a distinct "click" when they're pushed in fully.

As with every Fitbit that I have owned, 3 in 2.5 years, the band has broken. I was so excited, when I got the ionic for Christmas, but very disappointed after less than 9 months, the wristband is coming apart from watch. I do not wear in shower or get wet.
