I am having exactly the same issue. 20% drain during sleep last night. Its not good enough, i likewise dont listen to music and only use it for fitness and HR tracking. I am beginning to think it was an expensive waste of money.

I average 2 days in between charges, which is fine as I use GPS everyday for cycling and walks.
However, this evening my Ionic went from 76% down to 22% in just two hours! During this time I was relaxing on the sofa, so no activity to warrant such battery drain. In fact, I did not even check my Ionic until I got a battery low warning email.
I am hoping this is just a one off, but having read through this thread and a few others I am rather concerned this might be the beginning of an ongoing issue.
My Ionic also would not sync for several hours today, which is most unusual as I rarely have sync issues and usually forced stopping the Fitbit App clears any sync problems. Today that did not work and in the end I unpaired and repaired which restored syncing.
I have had my Ionic since July of this year and recently replaced my mobile with a new Samsung Galaxy A6 after I lost my A5.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for stopping by guys and welcome to the Fitbit Community @dbgoodwin.
I would like to know if you had already checked the tips to conserve battery life? @OzTonyk, Have you made sure you're fully charging the Ionic each time?
@dbgoodwin, about your question, some apps keep the watch's screen on, use GPS or frequently access to internet. An interactive or animated clock face can also have an impact in the length of time your Fitbit device operates on a full charge.
I hope this helps, please keep me posted with the outcome!

Battery s giving less than a days energy

@Chels1 Give it another full charge, then give it several reboots in succession by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons in until you see the Fitbit emblem appear and it reboots. After you have done those check your battery level is still showing fully charged then see how you get on.

@cstange Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to post the situation you are experiencing with your Ionic's battery power. Thanks for trying those steps in order to sort this out.
I'd recommend performing a regular restart on your watch. This should help you out with this too.
Also, battery power depends a lot on usage. Please check these tips that will help you improve the battery power on Ionic.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!

@SantiR Thanks for your tips.
I will restart my watch after full charged it and change setting to:
- Screen Wake > Manual.
- Notifications > Off
- Heart Rate off
Turning off this features is not a valid solution but I will know real duration.
I will comment later.

My ionic does not hold battery for even 24 hours. I charge it to 100% and it does within the day. I did a factory reset on it two days ago and have had to charge it back to 100% three times now.

Hi @Lauriebw25, welcome to the Fitbit community.
Can I ask if you are using a 3rd party clock face (one installed from the app gallery), or have installed any apps? I ask this because from experience I have found some of the non fitbit developed clock faces to be quite power hungry. If this is the case I would recommend changing to a standard fitbit clock face to see if that improves your battery.
It may also be worth taking a look at this fitbit help article about improving battery life on your device, which can be found here.
Let me know how you get on.

yesterday my screen started glitching with vertical lines, fading, and looking like more than one screen is trying to show through at once .I have had my ionic for a tad over a year. I love it. it literally runs my life and is a big reason why I lost 30lbs. I hate the idea that I spent $350 on this thing to be trash now. I was already pretty upset when it just stopped giving me phone notifications after only having it for 4mo... Is Apple going to make me happier................???????????????????????? I have restarted this thing 4 times so I don't want to hear that, Fitbit.

Hello
I am not quite sure what is the issue, the battery seems to drain fast to the point I have to charge it twice a day as it drops below 50% within the same day not to mention during night. I run an active day from gym and swimimg and tracking my activities and sleeping and logging my water intake but that can’t be the reason as my routin is the same since for ever but for the last month it’s acting up. I don’t use the music function nor the coacheing. Nothing fancy not even notification, basically the morning alarm. How to reset the issue or fix it. I have reached to a point of looking for an additional charger to keep it in my purse as I feel handicapped without my watch. Would it be possible that my watch is getting old !!!

@MattFitbit running only as clock (annoying) this is the performance:
+0 hrs: 100%
+6 hours: 82%
+15 hrs: 47%
+19 hrs: 28%
+ 22 hrs: 17%
...
A day like a clock! no way. Tomorrow I will activate the heart rate and I will do the same.
But these results are already conclusive, 1 year and the clock has become garbage .... 😞

I have the same issue and it has been since their latest update. I used to get a 4 day battery life, now I’m lucky if it lasts 24 hrs. Fitbit tells you to use one of their watch faces rather than a 3rd party one. It didn’t help. Whatever they did in their last update has affected the battery life. Their line that the battery only has a 24 hour charge life is a none starter because it used to last a lot longer. They’re refusing to acknowledge they’ve done something that is affecting it
