My 6 month old Ionic display suddenly began blinking on and off, draining my battery very fast since Ionic was set to turn off screen after 10 sec. I first read through user comments and first impression was that my screen was in 1st phase of failing like other users reported. I tried many soft resets without success. I searched Fitbit online direct help and the FAQs finding how to do a hard reset. After hard reset and selection of setup new device to replace my current installation on the mobile phone, everything proceeded smoothly and worked fine. I then reinstalled my selected screen referred to as Emergency watch face with police blue line and coloring with several monitors showing with date and analog time. I now suspect that washing my supposedly waterproof watch may have been the culprit or that the watch face app became damaged somehow. In any case, thanks to the Fitbit online FAQ for assistance. I suggested that Fitbit add keyword queries for "Hard reset" and for "Factory reset", either of which that people are opt to try for quick result on information needed.
