This is my 2nd Ionic. I never had issues of battery drain when I manually shutdown the Ionic. Seems that after the last update, after manually shutdown of the Ionic with 100% battery, the battery drains to 0% after 12h.
And yes, it happens after the last update. Since I used to shutdown daily as I do not track sleep. After the update and the battery drain, I keep it on and plugged everytime it leaves my wrist.

I suggest you carefully read the pinned firmware update thread. In short, many people have reported this exact problem. As far as I can tell, the watch is not properly shutting down; instead it is getting into a loop from which it cannot exit, and so it sits there all night burning battery, and often losing track of the accurate time. It only LOOKS shut down - because the screen is off already - but the internals are not actually powered off.
The only known workaround is to NOT shut it down.
Other than that, wait for Fitbit to release a fixed firmware version - which hasn't happened in months.

Is there a fix for this yet?

The best fix is to not shutdown the watch. We also ran into this problem with previous firmware updates. The current 71.6.19 update seems to have much better battery management since the HR sensors on the back of the Ionic now turn off. In the past they would continually flash and drain all battery power. We have not shutdown the watch since - and battery drain lasts for multiple days now vs dying overnight.
Hardware is pretty dated now but the firmware updates do look to have corrected some previous bad bugs.
