Battery on Ionic is not lasting

I paid nearly $200 or more for a watch that has lasted less than two years.  The support gives you a bs answer and no offer to replace or repair the watch.

Welcome on board @Sidup, it's nice to see you around the Community Forums! Sorry to hear that your Ionic's battery life is not lasting as expected. I'd recommend to see: Can I improve my Fitbit device's battery life? to get tips when you want to conserve battery life.

In regards to the replacement question, when a tracker suffers damage while under warranty, you can contact Customer Support. Discounts and replacements depend on tracker model and other factors.

However, I'd like to give thanks for the thorough feedback for the Fitbit devices. This has not gone unnoticed and be sure that I will pass this along.

We don't want to create frustration in our customers. Fitbit has been designed to provide motivation and help you to reach your daily goals to success. Please know that we provide feedback to our team based on community posts and we are always working on improving our devices and overall environment based on that feedback.

If there's something else you'd like me to assist you with, let me know.

The point is there is no repair for the battery. The watch cost over $200 which I was willing to pay.

$100 per year for a watch is ridiculous. The battery issue started some time ago with not fully charging. Also, and seemingly related the pulse tracker stopped working.

I read all the care etc and did everything suggested. I’m no fan of waiting on the phone to get a non answer like so many on YouTube and in blogs have indicated.

I fully understand that you cannot guarantee a watch forever. Also, I understand that some people could break a watch and want something for nothing.

In this case, I’m not buying a third watch. I foolishly purchased one for my wife. However, after looking online I see an alarming number of customers with the same problem..some which didn’t last as long as mine did with no relief from Fitbit.

I’ll read the reviews first and then purchase such items in the future. My hope is others will do the same and stay away from Fitbit because lip service doesn’t pay the bills. The watch is not reliable nor is the customer service.

I purchased an Apple Watch for my children which does more than the Fitbit. It cost more and does more and it’s still working...twice as long as the Fitbit.

Yes, I’m frustrated that this problem obviously exist with these watches and there seems no effort to correct it other than to hide behind a short warranty rather than stand behind the product.

This issue just started happening to me this week.  At first I thought I was loosing my mind on how many times I charged it this week.  But sure enough it was at 10% this morning and charged it up and did nothing out of the ordinary at all.  I didn't even have GPS turned on when tracking a walk.  Now it is dead 0% and didn't even last the day which blows now.  Sucks this thing  barely lasted a year and now having issues.  I did a soft reset just now and hoping that's all it is because i'm kinda mad about it now.

Be there done that a few months ago. I thought it was the connection.

The first indication was the heart rate monitor stop working on hard runs...thought it was excess sweat...cleaned it off, reset etc...next thing you know it will not accept a charge
