Bluetooth Pairing keeps failing...Ionic will sync but immediately loses connection

I've had my Ionic for over a year and today I noticed I wasn't getting my text message alerts sent to my watch. When I tried to go into the app to turn them back on, I noticed my Ionic was connected and had just synced, but as soon as I clicked on the "notifications" area the app informed me that my Ionic was not paired with my phone and would not connect. After that, the Ionics status changes to "Looking" instead of "Connected" and the only way to get it to sync with my phone again is to restart my phone.

I have spent the entire day trying to figure this out and it is destroying my watch battery so I wanted to see if anyone else is having this issue.

Edit for more info:

I have an iPhone XR and the software on both my fitbit and my iPhone are up to date. This watch has been working flawlessly the entire time I have had it, so I am not sure whether it's the watch or my phone that is acting up. I *do* have a Fitbit Blaze (my former Fitbit) that I keep charged as a backup, and the Blaze has continued to sync and pair with my phone and is not having any issues. I am inclined to say that this is a sudden problem with the Ionic, but I'm not sure how to fix it.

@Nrobins12 Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to share all of those details regarding the situation you are experiencing with Ionic. Thanks for restarting your watch in order to sort this out.

In this case, if you keep experiencing the same; I'd recommend trying all of these syncing troubleshooting steps. This should certainly help you out with this.

I also went ahead and contacted you via PM. Keep an eye on your Community inbox.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

I have the same issues with notifications - I've had my Iconic for June 2018 - I don't think it's ever given me notifications.  I'm sitting right next to my phone and says "make sure ionic is turned on and in range"  - I have an 8+ and according to my settings on the phone notifications are turned on.
