Bluetooth apps can't find the Ionic

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi,

I have tried a lot of Bluetooth apps to check if the connection is available and stable. But the most apps can't find the Ionic.

Search on standard Bluetooth and LE.

With Charge 2 is not such a problem.

Also no Bluetooth app available that can check if all data are correct transferred. No chechsum check.

Any idea?

Regards

Mark

Thanks for stopping by @Mark2018! Can you give me more details about the Bluetooth app? What do you mean by that? Are you trying to use the Fitbit app? Headsets? Speakers?

If your phone is managing multiple Bluetooth connections simultaneously:

  • Your Fitbit device might stop syncing or stop receiving notifications.
  • You can experience interruptions with any consistently streaming Bluetooth connection such as headsets, car kits, stereo audio, tethering, and file transfers.

These interruptions are typically caused by operating system and Bluetooth limitations. It's also possible that an app on your phone is causing the issue.

If you have an Android phone, try these steps:

  1. Turn off the Always Connected option in the Fitbit app.
  2. Disable other Bluetooth connections when not in use.
  3. Check to see if your phone has an app compatible with Ford Motor Company's voice control system. If so, disable Bluetooth on the app if possible or uninstall it.

The API used in these apps makes it difficult for Fitbit to communicate reliably with your phone. Ford provides a list of apps but note that other companies may use the API as well.

Looking forward to your response!

Most of the apps to find BTLE devices require that the device be removed from your phone before they will be able to see the tracker. This is also why removing the tracker from the phones BT often fixes a sync problem.

Also if the tracker is currently connected to device B, it will not be able to connect to device A.

Please note that the phones BT will not be able to manually connect to the tracker.

No, all my activated BT devices are listet without problems in each app.

Incl. Charge 2 but not Ionic.

You can rest with all available apps.

Bluetooth 4.0 scanner

Bluetooth Pair shows Ionic but is not able to connect.

Bluetooth LE scanner

I'd like to see that I don't have some disturbance somewhere which makes the problems.

I used my other BT devices for hours a day without problems, but who knows.

Thanks for your help.

As soon as the Fitbit app pairs the ionic to your phone, it will show up in Bluetooth.

You did not search for the Charge 2 through the phones Bluetooth.

I'm still not sure what the problem your having is?
