Hi,
I've finally upgraded from a HR Charge to the new Ionic.
Bought this yesterday after giving my HR away, tried to set it up and just repeatedly get the ' the Operation couldn't be completed' message.
I have removed old devices from the app, my phone & app are fully up to date. I just don't know what else to do? I've tried numerous resets, turning my Bluetooth off and on etc but nothing seems to work 😞
Looking forward to some answers.
Kind regards,
Andy

The moment you try to connect to the watch, there should be a number visible on the watch.
You should fill in that number on the phone.
Do you see a number on the watch or not?
If yes, just fill the number in and you are good to go.
If you don't see a number on the watch, try a soft reset (push left button and hold, then right lower button together with the left button and wait till the Fitbit logo appears, then release the buttons).

Hi,
No I didn’t, I even had a friend at work try and connect it to his phone and it wouldn’t, it got to the same stage as mine before giving me that error message 😞

I am having the exact same problem. One interesting aspect is if I go to the iPhone settings it shows a bluetooth connection to the ionic even after failing. However, I cannot sync the devices. In my case I upgraded my iPhone and then restored a backup of the previous iPhone apps including fitbit.
