Brand new Ionic not working/updating

(Sorry for duping, but the other thread is marked as "solved" - but it isn't for hundrets of customers)

Wasting dozens of hours on getting a brand new Ionic working.

Arguing with automated bulls.h.i.t-support on facebook ist frustrating.

Factory reset is not working, update via WiFi gets stuck at 10% loosing connection.
Update via Bluetooth freezing at 100% and then failing.

Tried on Windows, iPad, iPhone7, Huawei P30, Samsung S10.

I think I can skip the option to get a replacement, since this will not solve the problem.
So I will simpy send the device back to get refund and order a Garmin device instead.

What a dissapointing waste of money and time ...

Same problem here. Was super excited to use my brand new Fitbit ionic only to experience this nightmare experience. Last couple days has been a huge waste and just been troubleshooting every single possible way under the sun to get it up and running

I wish they would just acknowledge that there is a firmware issue and an update is coming rather than reply these forums with generic trouble shooting tips and tricks. Yes my battery is full on all devices, yes my Fitbit is in range of my cell, no other devices near by Fitbit. Yes I've tried resetting all devices, turned off Bluetooth and on, tried doing on multiple devices, updated all my OS on all my compatible devices.

The sooner they acknowledge there is a problem the sooner we can work towards a solution

Today - all of a sudden - my Ionic was able to update.

It updated twice, so I guess fitbit targeted the Ionics with older out-of-stock-firmware to a before-current firmware. Making it then possible to migrate to the lastest version.

I am on the current 70.7.14

The sad thing about this issue was that fitbit does not admin that there IS an issue they are working on,
letting the customer think the problem is on his/her side.
