Hi Fitbit Team,
The new firmware update froze my Fitbit Ionic screen in August. I have tried everything (even waiting weeks to ensure the battery ran out) but worthless efforts, 100% bricked:
I've been a happy Fitbit user up until now, but I'm really disappointed as this happened out of the blue and clearly not my fault.
Could you please help me ASAP? Thanks.

Yes welcome to the unhappy, frustrated club of fitbit users. The numbers are growing thanks to their buggy updates and could care less attitude about thousands/millions of watches that just stop syncing out of the blue!

I suspect there are hardware challenges such as electronic design issues that somehow the software designers don't seem to be able to compensate for. Unfortunately it appear that the latest fw update may be worse than the version before it. I honestly though that would not be possible. How wrong I was.
I can't imagine in a company the size of Fitbit that there isn't the talent for coding good fw/software. So, that has to point back to poor hardware electronic design, or perhaps the fw/software needs to be redesigned from the ground up. Given that the Ionic has been superseded or production has simply stopped, that is unlikely to happen. Although as I understand it the fw/software is reasonably similar between the Versa and Ionic.
I breath a sigh of relief every time I flick my wrist and everything seems to work.
