At the start of the month my Ionic I had since the launch of the device died on me simply by turning it off. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Ionic/Ionic-only-displaying-0/m-p/4405792/highlight/true#M134740
I worked with Fitbit but could not find a solution. So eventually I ordered a new Ionic (since it was still the only device that fit my needs). The day after I placed my order the leaks of the new Sense came out. So now less then a week after I placed the order for my Ionic and after only having it for a few days, the Sense is now official. You cannot even order an Ionic anymore. So I have a bit of buyers remorse. I would have instantly upgraded to the Sense if I did not just have to replace my original Ionic.
Which brings up the question; who is looking to upgrade from the Ionic to the Sense? Or is the Versa 3 now enough with the built in GPS? To me I am excited about the Sense. I came to Fitbit from a Microsoft Band 2. At the time the Ionic was the closest to feature parity with a reasonable cost. Now with the Sense, I finally feel like there is a device that goes well beyond the offerings of my Band 2. It is an exciting device to me. I just don't feel like I should update now since I have had my new Ionic for only 3 days.

I sort of feel your pain. I just bought my second Ionic in April and now I wish I would've waited. It would be a nice perk if Fitbit had a trade-in program like Samsung has with it's smartwatches.
