Calories out way too low (possibly caused by missing heart rate info)

Hi, I went out for a run this morning (actually recorded as three runs due to the way I split my sessions up). At first GPS wasn't getting a lock so I rebooted my Ionic. That fixed GPS but I didn't notice until I got home that no heart rate data had been recorded.

My three runs were recorded by Fitbit and show in the app as having burned 556, 374, and 667 calories. However my calories out currently only shows 932 calories. In addition, I sync my runs to Strava, and those same three runs have a calories count of 171, 30, and 79 calories.

Does anyone have any idea what's wrong and whether or not I can do anything to fix it? I don't understand why it's displaying realistic calories burned for the exercises themselves but using a bad count when calculating the calories out. I guess if it's one-off it's not the end of the world but I did treat myself to a big feed after I was done and Fitbit now thinks I'm 300 calories over my allowance when I should probably be about that amount under!

@GarryDH A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.

I appreciate the detailed information shared. It's pretty weird that you were seeing the correct calories burned for each exercise but the calories out are showing inaccurately.

Whenever you're checking your calories In vs Out, please make sure that your Ionic is syncing to your account and that your food is properly entered too. Also, please double check that you have the latest Fitbit app installed

If you do, please log out from the app, force quit it, log back in and continue checking if the data showing in this tile is correct.

Last but not least, please make sure that your Heart Rate setting is set to "On" and follow these tips to ensure that your heart rate information is properly tracked.

Let me know how the troubleshooting goes. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
