I’ve recorded a few walks and runs now and it seems my calories burned is quite off what I’d expect.
for example, a 20 min walk burned 180 calories according to my watch (I’m 29yo, 175cm and 80kg) which seems ridiculous.
anyone else had this issue?

@Raymondomartin It's nice to see you on the Community. Sorry for the delayed reply.
Calorie burn is based on two factors: your basal metabolic rate (or BMR) and activity tracked by your Ionic. Fitbit devices combine your basal metabolic rate (BMR)—the rate at which you burn calories at rest to maintain vital body functions (including breathing, blood circulation, and heartbeat)—and your activity data to estimate your calories burned. If your device tracks heart rate, your heart-rate data is also included, especially to estimate calories burned during exercise. The number you see on your Fitbit device is your total calories burned for the day.
I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

No matter how I wear the Ionic it always registers a heart rate that is too high hence high calories. Some times I should be technically dead based on the HR.

I did wonder this - speaking to people nearly double my age and half the RHR, thought there might’ve been something wrong with me! Have you seen a fix anywhere?
