Can someone please tell me if there is some different setting in my fitbic Ionic? I just left my ionic to charge this whole morning and once I went to go pick it up the calirie count is at 1,000. Now how could that be possible? When I put it down it was at 80.

He fitbit takes into account the calories from just living. When you put in your info theres an estimated amount of calories your body burns from digestion, heart beats, etc. Then it adds calories burned from excercise and steps ontop of this.

I understand that, but 1000 calories doing nothing for 4 hours seems a bit steep. Im 5’11” and weigh 180.

I personally feel the Ionic hands out calorie burn a little bit more than it should, but it's consistent for me. So, at least you can judge what you feel you really burned through the day. For instance, when I had my Band 2, I would end the day with an active workout and walking 15K steps at around 2700 cals burned. The Ionic will claim over 3K for a similar, or even less active, day. Again, at least it's consistent.
