Ref: IONIC -- is it possible to download swim exercise data so that a permanent record can be kept? If so How?

If you go to the individual exercise in your log on the website you can click in the upper right and get the option to download as a .tcx file. You might also try using IFTTT to automatically export daily data to a Google spreadsheet.

The swim- ("other")file downloaded from my Ionic have no excercise-data (just identifications) and is impossible to upload to Endomondo.
File content from Notepad:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<TrainingCenterDatabase xmlns="http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/TrainingCenterDatabase/v2">
<Activities>
<Activity Sport="Other">

I too have found the tcx file from a swim activity to be next to useless. It contains no useful data to upload to any site that allows you to log your training. This needs to be improve by fitbit. If I had known this before spending hundreds of pounds on a fitbit I would have bought a garmin instead.

Same goes for me.
I now use a Moov, which syncs with my Tablet,
Pro's. it recognises the swim stroke, records length . lap , turn, pause/ rest times, independently. gives average lap, fastest 100mtr time over which laps. time per stroke, number of stokes, ETC. permanent record kept. and that is just the SWIM MODE. I havn'e even looked at the other exercise settings, I would guess that they hold similar records.
less than 1/4 the price of Ionic
Cons, no indication whilst swimming, Info downloaded and calculated after swim session, no pulse rate record.

TCX files are useless for non-GPS activities. I don't quite understand why Fitbit designed it this way ( other apps can export data regardless of using GPS ).
