I had a garmin watch b4 and could change the watch face by downloading and selecting it on my watch. Is there a facility to do this on my Fitbit?

Sorry but no.  Any watch face change has to be downloaded anew.  And make sure you remember the name when switching one out if you might want it again.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
