Can a Ionic charge on a portable charger? Any brand recommendations?

Hi @Dianne11 this is a post I made September 2019 about using power banks.
I finished experimenting with my power banks to see which of them will charge my Alta HR. All three show it as charging the Fitbit and I was able to restart the device while it was charging.
1. Aduro PowerUp 11,000 mAh Portable Backup Battery Model PW-11KO4-BT- from Amazon
2. PURIDEA S5 7000mAh Power Bank - from Amazon
3. Ubio Labs 10,000mAh Portable Charger - from Costco
These last ones did NOT work
4. Morphie - small (size of a roll of quarters) - from Costco/Verizon
5. Aduro 10400mAh Charger IP54 - Hobby Lobby
6. IHarbort 10000mAh Ultra-Thin Aluminum 2 port
So, it seems no two Aduro power banks are alike when it comes to charging the Fitbits!
Hope you find the right one for your Fitbit.

Some power banks may not work, because they require the device to pull enough current.

This is quite true. They can shutdown soon after connection as they think nothing is connected,
Good thing about the Ionic (and probably all Fitbit devices?) is that it will charge from almost any USB port, usually even if it says it's unable to charge. Just check that the green charging animation in the top left of the screen is active.
