Can't add Commonwealth card - Fitbit Pay

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Is anyone getting "there was a problem verifying your card details with you financial institution" at the last step of trying to add your credit card for the Wallet app? I'm trying to add a Commonwealth bank card in Australia and I've called the bank who says there shouldn't be any issues their end.. I've also tried uninstalling/reinstalling the wallet app, uninstalling/reinstalling the fitbit app on my android phone. Tried another android phone, tried entering contact info with exact spelling and case as entered in my bank account but still no go. Please help someone!!

It's nice to see you around the forums @atracey555To start, add at least 1 credit or debit card from a participating bank to the Wallet section of the Fitbit app:

  1. With your watch nearby, from the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon > your device image.
  2. Tap or click the Wallet tile.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to add a payment card. In some cases, your bank may require additional verification. If you’re setting up Fitbit Pay for the first time, you’ll be prompted to set a 4-digit PIN code for your watch (if you haven’t already done so). Note that you also need to have Touch ID or a PIN code turned on for your phone.
  4. After you’ve added a card, follow the on-screen instructions to turn on notifications for your phone (if you haven’t already done so) to complete the setup.

You can add up to 6 cards to the Wallet and choose 1 card to add to your watch.

Hope this helps, keep me in the loop!

Hi, unfortunately I've already followed those step many times on 2 different android phones, one with touch ID and one with a pin. Any other ideas? Has anyone successfully got it work with a Commonwealth Bank mastercard?

Hi atracey,

I purchased the ionic yesterday and am already having this issue (yay). Did Fitbit give you a solution to this as it is STILL a problem happening today. Hope they sort it out and I'm not left kicking myself for not getting a garmin 🤭

Yes I have successfully had a CBA Mastercard working with my Fitbit Ionic for many months. I'm not using it at the moment, but that isn't a Fitbit issue.  Did not have any issue when setting it up.

Ive also already followed all these steps and still can't verify my commonwealth card

I posted earlier in this thread that my CBA MasterCard worked fine. I hadn't used it for a long time and the card expiry date became obsolete. I removed the card and re-added it. Now it fails to verify as others are reporting.

Not sure if it's any help but my problem was related to the fact CBA had issued a new card as mine was bear the expiry date. I eventually received he card maybe a week or two later and that worked.

No, nothing to do with my card, I have rang the bank and they said there
