I transferred music to my Ionic and successfully paired it to my AirPods but the volume is fixed at a medium volume and can't be adjusted with the Ionic's volume buttons. Anybody have this problem with their bluetooth headphones?

Yes, only my airpods are set at a really loud volume! I am wondering about turning the volume down using my phone connected to the airpods. The main problem is that the Ionic is not controlling the volume.

So, as I mentioned, when I paired my Airpods with the Ionic, the volume was WOAH WAY TOO LOUD. I unpaired the headphones and the Ionic. I then had to pair my iphone and the airpods. Then, I played some music from my phone onto the Aipods and TURNED THE VOLUME DOWN. A lot. Then, I repaired the airpods with the Ionic, and volia, the volume was lower.
This is a big problem. Seriously, we can't adjust the volume using the watch? This is a really big workaround for the Ionic and needs to be addressed ASAP. For a runner who desperately wants to be untethered from my phone, this means I'll have to figure out the volume I want for my entire run, set it using my phone, repair the airpods, and then head out and hope I don't need to adjust it. I really feel like a guinea pig for Fitbit, and I am disappointed.

Also, when you pause your music does the Ionic drop the audio connection to the AirPods? When I resume playing the elapsed time of the song indicates it's playing but I have to reselect the AirPods two menus deep to get them going again. FWIW, I use my AirPods with an Android phone. Best hands-free phone ever; It's the only Apple product I own 🙂

Yup, got the same issue here... Ionic is my first Fitbit device and I'm finding it very buggy in general.

Add me to the list with powerbeats 3 wireless. Lots of oversights with this launch. I actually cancelled my flyer order because they delayed the release on the night blue's. Beats got my business.

It seems that the ionic can't control the volume of the airpods. It didn't work for a friend, though his ionic was able to control the volume of my bluetooth headphones (and mine was unable to control his aripods, though it works perfectly with mine).
I'd love some information about this from some moderator.

I have the exact same issue. Fitbit need to address this and do so quickly. I have 30 days to return my Fitbit Ionic and if they haven’t addressed this issue it will be returned. My airpods are fantastic and as much as I like the Ionic it will not be at the expense of use of my airpods. Fitbit, you need to respond and quickly.

Go over to the “Feature” board and vote to have this fixed. The more votes, the sooner it gets addressed. Voting for the posts here don’t count.

In e.g. the Pandora app,
click your playlist
click the 3 dots in the upper left corner
then you can adjust volume up/down
Alternative
From e.g. the main menu,
hold in top right button to open the sound menu
click the 3 dots in the upper left corner
then you can adjust volume up/down

Me: ... nope, they seem to be stuck at less than max volume.I tried to max them out on the iPhone to see if they have "memory". But they seem to cap at a much lower volume than e.g. the iPhone max volume
Support: Thanks for confirming. After investigating with my support team, we found that our engineers are already aware of the problem and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. The issue as you asked mentioned before will be resolved with the next update.
Boom!

I spent a week trying to get mysic on my Ionic so i could pair it with my Airpods... Finally got it working yesterday.. went to the gym. But the volume was maxed out way too low, i culd not hear my music in the presence of the gyms music, an issue i never find when i pair my Airpods with my Android mobile. This was a frustrating experience that has left me feeling cheated. I recently (Jan 2018) paid 300 euro for my Ionic and 180 euro for my Airpods to avail of this substandard feature
