Can't install Spotify - Connect & Control on my Ionic

The Spotify - Connect & Control app appears in the apps available in my Fitbit app on my iPhone 8, but the Install button is greyed out (can't select it) and I have a message displaying below telling me to "make sure theFitbit app on your phone and your Fitbit device have the latest update. Learn More"

I do have up the most up to date firmware (or so I believe) on the device (27.32.10.20) as there are no outstanding updates available showing for the device. I also have the most current version of the Fitbit app on my iPhone 8 - nothing newer available in the App Store, my iPhone 8 is updated to the latest Apple OS and I do have a Spotify Premium account.

So, why, after receiving an email saying that Spotify is available to install on my Fitbit, can't I?

@imac59 A warm welcome to the Community. Thanks for taking the time to share what you're experiencing with your Ionic.

I appreciate that you mentioned the firmware version showing on your watch. The reason why you're unable to install Spotify to your watch, it's because the firmware version that you have isn't one of the latest ones.

If you set up your Ionic recently, this might be the reason why you haven't received the latest update. Since you mentioned that you have the latest Fitbit app installed on your iPhone, please make sure that you're syncing at least once a day to ensure that you receive the update soon.

Looking forward to hearing back from you. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Thanks Sylvia ... it seems then that Fitbit has not yet made the latest firmware version available for my particular device (Ionic) because the device has been set-up for well over 12months - probably closer to 2 years and I always have all day sync set, the app has background refresh on + I manually sync many times a day to be sure. So, I don't believe my device can be classified as a recent set-up and I'm doing everything that it seems that I need to be doing to get the update. Is there something else that needs to be done?
