I did my long run yesterday, which was 2 hours and I found that several times the music would cut out or skip or the next beat was slightly faster. Something was off with it, but then my hr would also climb and it would be showing 10-15 beats higher than what it should have been. I stopped and counted with the time to make sure. Then it seemed to catch up and it would drop 10 beats at a time going from 150 all the way down to 120. I'm using the music app that is on the watch, not deezer or pandora, so I'm thinking that it just isn't good to run the gps, tracking, and the music all at the same time.
I thought maybe it was my wrist and put it on the other wrist, where it did better. It still had some funky jumps, but not nearly as high or for as long, but the music still skipped, stopped, and started. Sometimes pausing the music helped and sometimes it didn't.
I could always listen to my music from my phone, which would put less stress on the fitbit ( I should probably be running with it anyway) or not listen to music at all but was curious if anybody else was having this issue. Seems to be more of an issue after 20-30 minutes. I run during my lunch at work and it seems fine for that, but towards the end of my 2 hour run it was having tons of problems.

Thank you for getting back and providing me with more details @Creamcheese742! The Ionic's battery should last up to 10 hours if you're using GPS.
After it's in 20%, it should show you a red battery meaning that you have less than 20%. I would like you to restart your watch and then fully charge it but this time try to change USB ports.
Let me know how the battery functions after it.

It's great to see you on the Community @Creamcheese742! I appreciate all the details that you've shared.
It's really good to see that you're using your Ionic for your long runs. Thanks for the different ways that you wore your watch in order to test it and see if the music improved.
I would like you to check this article: How do I track my heart rate with my Fitbit device?. You can find tips on how to improve your heart rate reading and in case you're taking any medication this can affect the data that you're getting.
Regarding the music inconvenience that you're facing, please restart your watch and then try the music control once again. If you're still experiencing this issue after this, then provide me with the headphones model.
Keep me posted.

I just did a run today for 30 minutes, without the music running on it. I decided that's not a real issue for me as I should be running with my phone and the brand of headphones I have, it wouldn't let me skip a song. In the end it's easier to just use the music through my phone. That seemed to solve the hr issue as it was pretty accurate throughout the whole run.
BUT it died on me on my way back. I had the screen on the whole time, which I know uses more battery power, but since my run was only going to take 30 minutes I figured 41% battery power was enough for it. It died at around 22 minutes and I just plugged it in to see what it was at and it died at 24% power. That's the second time it died on me in the low 20%'s and in fact I've never seen it below that. Is there a way I can get the battery to be more accurate?

Ok. I will try that. It seems to last pretty close to the 10 hours, but it never gets below 20% it just shuts off. Just out of curiosity, does it ever say "Charged"? Because every time it's charging and it gets to 100% it just keeps saying charging. I've never seen it say Charged.

Hey @Creamcheese742! It won't say charged, it will only show the full green battery icon.
Keep me posted.

That seems to have worked. Thanks! I got it to 100% two nights ago at midnight and put it on. I did one half hour run with the screen on which, with combined with being used all day, knocked it down to 74%ish. The next day (yesterday) I did another 30 minute run with the screen set to turn on only when it looked at it, and then another 2 hour run later and that got it down to 14%. Only about 3 hours of running time, but since I keep a close eye on my heart rate, the screen is on a lot of the time. I charged it last night to 100% again and put it back on around midnight again and it's at 95% right now. The other fitbit I had was a charge HR and I don't think you could restart that one as easily. I'll have to remember to restart this one from time to time.
Thanks again!
