Can't listen to music, it gets static & notifications are delayed

I bought the Ionic so I could listen to music whilst out running, I've YET to manage this...

I've tried 3 different sets of headphones, I don't take my phone with me so there is NO interference, but ALL I get is STATIC !!!!!!

My headphones work PERFECTLY with my phone so it's not the headphones.

Anyone have the same problem or know how to solve....

For the past week i have notices that when my phone rings my notification(on Ionic) is several minutes later.

This is quite annoying as I've already finished the call....

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @DaDBoD1974Robot Very Happy Sounds possibly like a Bluetooth conflict. This just happened to me once. My headphones were paired with my phone as well as my watch. I was running out of the zone for my phone. Not so much an Ionic issue, as the way my headphones handle loosing connection to a device. I've removed the pairing to my phone and now it's all good again. Smiley Very Happy Basically what I tried was turning off Bluetooth on my phone while listening to music on the Ionic, or any other device the headphones might be paired with.

However, you mentioned that you don't take your phone with you. So, are you taking only the Ionic and your headphones when listening to music?

There is a workaround that has helped other users in the past:

Try using them once again after doing this process, it should be better!

On the other hand, notifications skip or stop occasionally for several reasons that don't suggest a problem with your device or the Fitbit app.

  • Your phone was too far away. It must be within 30 feet of your Fitbit device to transmit the notification.
For texts, you have the conversation open on your phone. Your Fitbit device shows new texts you haven't already read.
You changed a related setting on your phone, such as turning on Do Not Disturb, Quiet hours, or Driving mode.
  • Your Fitbit app is up-to-date (Android, iOS).
  • You're using another Bluetooth product. If you have Bluetooth products like speakers, headsets, or car stereos paired to your phone along with your Fitbit device, you may have trouble using more than one at the same time. For example, turning on your speaker might stop your phone from sending a notification or syncing.
  • The connection between your phone and Fitbit device is unstable. Bluetooth signals are susceptible to disconnecting or dropping occasionally. If you have an Android phone, check the following:
  • The app that should send the notification can't do so
  • Your device was syncing. Syncing can sometimes prevent or delay a notification.
  • You just updated the Fitbit app. Restart your phone and try setting up notifications again.
  • Device lock is active on your Fitbit watch and you haven't recently entered your PIN. Tap your watch screen to see if the device lock prompt appears. If it does, enter your PIN.

Hope this helps, let me know the outcome!
