I have a Samsung S8, how do i get my text messages to read out on my ionic? Right it's only notifying me that i got a text message but i can't read it on my phone. When i receive a notification of an email it will show the whole email message

Welcome to the forums @Rdlaf, it's great to have a new member around! Man Very Happy  Hmmm... Since you're in Android phone, if the preview message is off then it won't preview through Fitbit either, no matter what you set it to through the app. So, check it by going to Settings --> Device --> Applications --> Messages --> Notifications --> Must be on, pop-up display switched on, and Preview Message on. Smiley Very Happy

If after following those steps you're still unable to read your texts, let's try the following steps:

  • Make sure that your Fitbit App is up-to-date
  • Log out of your Fitbit App
  • Force quit the App
  • Restart your Ionic
  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fitbit App
  • Make sure that "Enable Notification Widget" is turned on. This can be found with other notification settings in the Fitbit Android App.
  • Turn on "Always Connected" in the Fitbit Android App. What this does is improve the Bluetooth connection between your Charge 2 and your mobile device.
  • Verify that you have notifications turned "On" on-device by holding the button on your Charge 2 for two to three seconds when your Charge 2 is displaying its clock face.

Give this a shot and let me know if that works!

@MarreFitbitSlightly different issue but still Notifications, Text and emails..on the Ionic with Android V8.0.0.

On the Ionic when I tap an email message it only displays 11 lines which is only an extension of the message with the URL and maybe some of the topic name.  Tap it again and it reverts

When the phone rings it just says unknown caller.

Repeated from another of your posts "PS: If you're on Android app, if the preview message is off then it won't preview through Fitbit either, no matter what you set it to through the app. So, check it by going to Settings --> Device--> Applications --> Messages --> Notifications --> Must be on, pop-up display switched on, and Preview Message on.

Mine is Sony (not on your list) and I'm not having issues with 2.65.1 or syncing or when I multi link my five Fitbits.... A little slow sometimes on the Ionic.. But Notifications etc are flukey.. The phone calls used to identify the caller on 2.64 and Android 7.1.1. Android was updated to 8 the next day I received my 2.65.1 update..

Settings --> Device (Ionic)--> Notifications ----> Messaging (Set) -----> App Notifications  --> Messenger (Set) --> There is nothing about Pop-up display etc...
