Can you pause / stop an activity on the ionic whilst it is giving you a pace alert

When the ionic is alerting me (I normally have 1/2 mile pace alerts), I don't seem to be able to pause or end the activity. This is particularly annoying on shorter runs (5k Parkrun) where sometimes due to GPS accuracy it's just alerting me to 3 miles as I cross the finish ... adds another 5 seconds to my time.

 

Not a big deal if you've just done a half marathon, but can be the difference between a PB or a just missed on a 5k or 10k.

 

Anyone else found this? Can you interrupt the alert?

Yes - if I need to pause a run on my Ionic or see exactly how far I've run, I first need to turn my wrist up to view the distance alert or use a button to clear the distance alert - both while running.  It's obnoxious, but I've gotten used to it and have increased my distance alerts to 5km to reduce the possibilities for screw ups.
