I was watching a Youtube video on a review of the Fitbit Ionic and was told that there was no way a consumer can respond back to text message through the actual device persay. I think one way to mitigate this is to maybe have a microphone pic on the watch (in a future update) that would allow consumers and the end user to talk through the watch or at least have the ability to.This should be on all smartwatches (Blaze, Ionic, ect)

A warm welcome to the Community @FitnessGuru1. It's great to hear that you came to the Community to provide feedback after watching a YouTube video about Fitbit Ionic.
As mentioned by our dear council @Rich_Laue and @sfringer, you can reply directly from your Ionic using "Quick replies". However, the other idea about having a microphone in your watch and reply using it, that would be great. You can post it in our Feature Suggestion board, those will be reviewed by our team and updated based in Fitbit's plans.
Hope I can continue seeing you around!

If your Ionic is paired with an Android device, it is possible to reply to text messages with canned, simple responses. So, it's possible, but fairly limited.

This should also work with win phones, unfortunately Apple in their wisdom of knowing what is best for their user has blocked third party apps from responding.
