Hi, I’ve had the Ionic using the IOS platform since November. My Cardio fitness score initially was like 38 or 39, and over time I started seeing some results and improvement. I had recently just devoted my training to strictly running, and my score went from 42 to 46 and after running for a few weeks at 46, the score dropped down to 43 despite my resting HR dropping from 72 down to 66bpm. I don’t understand how it’s even possible for the score to go down given the other factors and metrics that tell me I’m improving. Perhaps it’s yet again a major fallout of the wrist based HR sensor which don’t get me wrong is the BEST wrist based sensor available, BUT still doesn’t hold a candle to a chest strap monitor, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make an update or allow for the Ionic to pair with an external chest strap. For runners and people who REALLY care about accurate data, this is a huge deal and I believe you would finally start to compete with Garmin, or Samsung, or Suunto, and expand your base. I LOVE fitbit but i also love and need ACCURATE data. I look forward to the response, thanks!!

Hi @Stephen831,
Having the ability to pair a Fitbit to an external chest strap is a popular request. I suggest adding your vote here, so Fitbit is aware we would like this feature.
Here is an article on Cardio Fitness score, how it works, and how you can improve the accuracy of the score. It's a long read, but worth the time. Hope this helps, and keep up the good work.
