Did you mean:

Charge 3 and Ionic on the same account

Dear Fitbit Team,

your answer is my next disappointment. Not customer friendly and oriented.

Anyways. You should put my case scheduled for follow-up on your CSC dashboard. I want to be notified about that proper Fitbit App Update using both devices: Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Charge 3. You should also rise a ticket to your technical department in order to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

And..., like I already mentioned... you should be more customer oriented and offer a genuine compensation to your loyal customers when you took something precious from them.

I am looking forward to hear about that Fitbit App Update.

Many kind Regards.

Welcome on board @SunsetRunner! At this time you can't have Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Ionic, and Fitbit Versa connected to the same account.  Since you have two of these devices, be sure to have only one connected to your account at a time.

As you mentioned on your post, you could have 2 different Fitbit devices in one account. This changed with Smart Watches and Charge 3.

Currently, I don´t have information about this being possible but I hope this could happen in the future. Operation systems from both devices are very similar and at this time, having both devices on the same account cause difficulties.

Fitbit team always works to get solutions to the issues. Let´s hope to have these two devices working together soon!

Let me know if you have any questions present.

That is totally unacceptable and unprofessional.

Fitbit never told me before purchase that both devices can not be used together in my account.

You are supposed to inspire people to live active. Your slogan is: "Every single step counts!" Where are my steps when I charge the device for 100 minutes?

Not inspiring, not customer oriented... Again: NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!

I spoke to IT developers. They said: "It's very easy to resolve this matter!"

So, please, resolve it!!!

Fitbit owes me a lot! And I am getting more and more disappointed in you, guys... Please, do your job properly!

I need that update soon.

"Every single step counts!"

I am losing my step stats, because you can not do your job right.

Very unprofessional and not customer oriented...

Hi @SunsetRunner! You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.

As mentioned along this thread, you can't have Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Ionic, and Fitbit Versa connected to the same account. Since you have any combination of these devices, be sure to have only one connected to your account at a time.

Thanks for your understanding, have a nice day!

Please, stop giving me the same answer.

As I said bunch of times: I want to use my Fitbit Ionic and my Fitbit Charge 3 at the same account, because I purchased these two devices and it is my legal right to use them both. I've spent a lot of money on them and it seems to me like a huge waste...

Fix this issue as soon as possible or I will escalate this case to my authornies and the public media.

By the way, why are my stats on the web page not correct and up to date. I just saw I have climbed 188,628 floors and that's not right. Are you beginning to steal my floor counting as well?

I need a solutions soon!

I'm with you. I think they are completely hopeless. The idea that you can't run an Ionic and a Charge 3 on the same account? Idiotic planning. I have a Garmin Fenix 5 and the Vivosmart 4. I get GPS and Ocean Swimming covered by the Fenix. The Vivosmart 4 covers general step, sleep and SP02 data which is far more detailed than Fitbit. I did open a separate Fitbit account on a spare iPhone and I went back to an ionic and Alta HR. I'm just waiting to see the new OS3 update and if it's rubbish I will chuck the Fitbits onto eBay.

Agree, it's ridiculous that we can use Ionic+Charge 2 but NOT Ionic+Charge 3.

The "can't have two smartwatches excuse" (provided higher up in this thread) is hogwash, since Fitbit doesn't call the Charge 3 a smartwatch. It calls the Charge 3 a tracker (just like the Charge 2).

Also, it's annoying how this very significant issue keeps getting marked "Solved" when it isn't.

I've been a significant Fitbit shareholder, but if I can't use both a sleep tracker and a fitness watch on the same account, I'm going to cease being the last runner I know using Fitbit, sell my stock, and head over to Garmin.

This is a huge disappointment! How can you put these trackers our there without any disclosure. I have the blaze, the charge 3 and I just bought the ionic... BUT I CANT USE IT!!! My kids bought me the charge 3 for Christmas and I'll return my ionic before I push the charge 3 aside. C'mon Fitbit!!! Get with the program! Are you kidding me right now????????

Get an update to this software so they can simultaneously be on the same account. You're seriously lacking where everyone else is pulling ahead! Why are you so far behind everyone else??????????!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm losing my patience and it's becoming very nerve racking dealing with such issues. I'm a loyal customer with 3 trackers, the flyers and the aria scale. You should be a little concerned that your customers may soon give up on you because you can't deliver.

I am waiting for three months for a solution, and I am not the only one.

You will lose all your loyal customers because you simply do not care.

And on the top of that: Charge 3 can not sync for more then 24 hours now.

Shane on you, Fitbit!!!

I feel exactly as this member did.  Bought the Inspire HR to compliment my Charge 3.  Nobody said cant do it.  After you buy it, FitBit takes the value away.

You cant treat customers this way.  Fix it or lose us.

Sadly,

Joe

They just stopped care about customers...

Such a huge shame.

When they realise it, it will be too late...

Im in the same predicament here.. I recently bought a Charge 3 and an Ionic, thinking that I can connect both to my account. But it turns out that I cant. When can you guys fix this issue? It looks like this is a known issue?

Best Answer

It turns out that when you sleep, you're a different person from when you're awake! Daytime you and nightime you are different people, with different health status. I figure Fitbit doesn't want your daytime data to get contaminated by your sleep data, which might give you the full picture of your health. And we wouldn't want that, now would we?

Clearly, it's better to keep the data from each device in a separate account.

If only their competitors would catch on to this logic, maybe they would be able to catch up.
