I often go hiking and every now and again I go for hikes that last longer than the battery life of the Ionic when using GPS. I was therefore wondering if it is possible to charge the Ionic mid-activity. Could I for example pause a hike activity and connect a powerbank while I rest, then disconnect it, unpause and keep hiking? Some watches restart when connecting a charger, so I'd like to know how this works before purchasing one.

Hi @AleksanderH,
That's an interesting question. I do know when plugging the Ionic into the charger, it seems to still work as normal (I can page through screens, etc).
You'd have to test to see if pausing the exercise works between charging. It might, so give it a try and let us know.
Also, you should know that Fitbit recommends only using a computer or wall-charger (in the owner's manual) to charge the tracker. Not sure exactly why, but I thought you should be aware.
