Clasp lost from Ionic wristband

Hi All.

I've recently lost the little metal (or plastic) 'stud' or nodule that clips the wrist band together.

Anyone else ever lost this and is it replaceable?

My wife gave one of her small hairbands and that actually works better than
the original clasp.

Similar experience here.  I've worked for a Fortune 500 company and the product design flaw on the band and Customer Service experience was painful and completely unacceptable!  I had to take pictures of the missing clasp and upload them so they knew what I was talking about.   After two calls to Customer Service the clasp was eventually replaced since it was under warranty so you know they have the clasps available.   The clasp that was replaced nearly fell out a number of times despite a conscious effort to "re-seat" the clasp daily.  Now the second clasp is lost.  I am purchasing a new band.  Fitbit gets an "F" grade for both customer service and band product design specific to the band clasp.   Next watch may not be Fitbit.

You can always print one from Thingiverse. This is much more palatable and environmentally friendly.
It is annoying that I cannot buy one direct from Fitbit. I have tried.

I bought one of the cheap bands on Amazon so my clasp problem was fixed but a month later the screen went blank. The fitness tracking was working I could seeit on my phone but the watch face was blank since my ionic was over a year old a Customer service rep politely told”aww to bad wanna buy a new one?” Being the third fit bit I owned that lasted less than 2 years I declined and bought an Apple Watch. I do miss Fitbit’s software it much better than what apple has nto bad the make such a horrible product

Yep, sure does work. And like you said, until you lose that one too, which happened to me yesterday!

I agree with your comments. Both bands that came with the product have failed within 2 years of purchase. It is unbelievable that a new band costs so much when compared to the price of the unit. I am currently gathering information to take to the appropriate consumer advocate in Australia. This appears to be blatant ripoff

it is a total rip off but i found something better. My wife gave me one of
her small hair bands like the ones used in a ponytail and it works great.

Amazing this is considered the best answer!

Evidently Fitbit prefers to opt out of customer service.   Poor design  and unwillingness to help customers  results in ex-customers.

Thanks for the information
Please note, this is not available in the US.

Alternatively, I purchased a set of 3 bands via Amazon (link below) and the locking tab works well with the original FitBit band. Still a pity that Fitbit thinks so poorly of good customers that they do not make small parts like this available at a moderate price. In addition, not very environmentally friendly.

I've gone through a million of these things. Such a terrible unsolved problem. Just FYI, if you go the route of buying a replacement band, get a knock-off for $5.99 on Amazon
