IPhone Model: 5S

IOS Ver: 10.3.3

Fitbit App Ver: 32.10.20

Was working fine until the last app update. I see the Versa folks having the same issue.

I would like to say a few days after my previous post there was a update on the watches software and I did fix my watch l only hope this has worked for all others having this problem.

my fitbit won't even let me open any apps including settings. So there is no way to do a hard reset. Also the device has been charging for 2 weeks because I left it alone. I was able to turn the always on mode on though, so the quick guide works

Best answer? No answer more like.

This is my fifth Fit Bit. They last about 6 months then something goes wrong. Looks like this is it for my Ionic. I am forced to a screen I don't like and now it  has stopped tracking my sleep.

I think it is time to change brand.

I have same problem. Can’t see anything on screen - no clock, heart rate, steps, nothing. What are Fitbit doing to address this? Help site not much help

As of Jan 2021, I was still seeing this issue with a Versa on Android 11.

Solution:

  1. Open Fitbit app info > Storage & cache
  2. Clear storage.
  3. Open Fitbit app and re-login.
  4. Pay close attention to the warning about Android 6.0+ and Location permission. You need to enable Location permission.
  5. Also pay attention to allow the app to use location "all the time" instead of the default "while using the app".
