Constantly asking to calibrate after upgrade but will not calibrate

Hi,

Recently upgrade to firmware 27.70.8.0 has caused an issue with the Ionic and calibration.

Every 30 minutes or so, the Ionic is requesting a calibration. I plug in the watch into the black cable/charger and lay it flat so the sensors are exposed and not blocked.

However, when I click on START the watch just starts charging. Have tried it with the power turned off, the result is the same.

The watch will not complete the calibration.

Also, since the firmware upgrade the % charge has been removed and replaced with an useless icon (whose bright idea was that ?) that does not show you how charged the watch is.

A third issue since the upgrade is the watch charge does not last that long and needs charging every day - have not changed how much I am using the watch.

I am an Android user but not sure that makes much difference.

Any ideas how i can force the calibration to complete and get rid of the tedious message that keeps coming up ?

Cheers

@ColinBickell I hope you're doing well!

Let me help you with your Ionic not working as it should. Try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL-certified USB adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can follow these instructions to help improve the battery life.

The restart should help with the calibration prompts and for the battery percentage you can share your idea on how to improve this feature in our Feature Suggestions board. Search for the idea first to see if one already exists so you can add your vote. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it.

Let me know how it goes.
