Hi all,

 

I downloaded the firmware update several days ago, but I'm still having issues with syncing my Ionic. Generally speaking, it is paired to my phone (Google Pixel) via bluetooth, so that is a non-issue. But I can't seem to ever sync my ionic to my phone without having the ionic actually PLUGGED IN and actively charging. Even then, it is hit or miss.

 

I thought this might be solved with the firmware update, but alas, I still have a "smart watch" that isn't very a smart and is completely unreliable when it comes to giving me easy access to my stats and updates. 

 

Does anyone know of a fix for this? 

 

Like I said, it is successfully paired over bluetooth, so that isn't an issue. I don't think I should have to reset the Ionic every single time I want to sync it and look at my stats on my phone. I'm starting to wish I would have just returned the thing as soon as a bought it, but now it's too late. Bummer.

Delete the bluetooth profile from your Pixel, restart the phone, and Ionic, and re-sync the 2.

So basically I have to delete, restart, reconnect every time I want to sync?

No, it's not uncommon when updates are had that bluetooth needs to be refreshed. It happens on other devices when my phone it updated every now and then.

I find sync very unreliable .It seems every few days I need to forget and then re-pair the device. I'll probably return it. Notifications  also sometimes come, sometimes not
