Could not add second playlist to Ionic

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've tried a couple of times to add a second playlist to my Ionic using the Windows Fitbit app, but with no success. The app says it's preparing to transfer for a while, but never actually starts on the first track. However, if I delete my existing playlist, it works just fine. It didn't mention that space was a problem - the first playlist only occupied around 10% of memory according to the app.

It's nice to see you around the forums @10538! The Fitbit Ionic contains 2.5GB of internal storage available to music.  That music can come in the form of music you own and transfer to the watch, as well as from streaming services.

Store over 300 songs and podcasts on your watch depending on the file sizes. For example, a 60-minute podcast takes up more storage space than a 3-minute song. Take a look at the article: How do I listen to music and podcasts on my Fitbit watch?

The playlist you download occupied around 10% of the space available for music or you see this 10% of the space in general?

Hope this helps, let me know if there's anything else I may assist you with.

All of the music I'm trying to transfer to the Ionic takes around 1.5 GB. The first playlist was only around 500 MB of that. With the first playlist transferred the bar showing the transferred size was pretty short (10% is perhaps a little conservative - it would be nice if the actual figures where shown).

Anyway, like I said, I could not transfer the second playlist without deleting the first. The original files for the first playlist weren't still on the PC, I don't know if that might be problem but I got no error messages at all, just a failure to actually transfer the second playlist.

Regards,

William

Thanks for providing me with more details @10538. I'd recommend taking a look at the article: Why can't I download music and podcasts to my Fitbit watch?

Hope these steps help, keep me in the loop!

Thanks, but I am having no trouble uploading the first playlist, just the second (when the first is already present). I have just tested this scenario again and provide a screen shot of what's going on. The first playlist has been transferred and works fine. But on trying to repeat this the Windows 10 app says it is preparing to transfer but after several minutes of waiting does nothing further. Where would I report this as a bug?

Here is the screenshot:
