I used the ionic for a 50km bike ride thjs morning . The app has logged this ride ( under exercises ) however the Fitbit dashboard ( on the app) states I have only covered 1.62 miles . Similalry the ' today ' icon on the ionic does not show the 50km bike ride I have completed- it just says I have covered 1.62 miles which is incorrect. Does it not capture cycling stats within the ' today' option on the iconic?

Why is this so?

I was confused by this too but I think the lower distance is just how far you've moved on foot rather than a total distance.

Which is all a bit daft when they give you steps for biking. So my dashboard can show huge number of steps but very little distance travelled.

I agree . But the ionic should capture the key stats from my bike ride.
