Daily Stat Reset Time

I don't understand. After doing some looking around people have been asking for this feature since 2012. How difficult could it be to add an option to let you select what time the daily stats reset? I'm no programmer, but it couldn't possibly be any more difficult than the features they've already implemented.

If I want my stats to reset at 3am when I go to bed I should be able to do that. I don't want to change the time of day or mess with time zones. That's a lazy answer.

How many people have to vote for this feature and for how long before they actually do it? Does "voting" really do anything or are people wasting their time?

I agree that a lot of people ask for this feature but there is possibly a reason why Fitbit don't enable it. Off the top of my head, it might be down to the Challenges. If people starting altering their reset times, Challenges could start to become farcical, or at least people could manipulate them to their benefit. That said, I'm not wanting to get in a big debate about this, just replying to your message 🙂

Challenges are already a bit of a joke if you travel east and land after midnight in another time zone. I’ve lost several challenges when landing at 11pm Pacific time, but it was 1am in Texas and my steps didn’t count. I’m not sure why Fitbit appears to NOT use universal time stamps on data, and then adjust the display (or properly account in challenges).

To help keep people from "cheating" they could just make it so that you can only change your reset time once a month or so. Shoot, maybe I should learn whatever language they program in and go work for them so it gets done 😂

its not possible to cheat if Fitbit would just use UTC timestamps when crediting steps for a Challenge. This problem was solved way back when computers were first invented, well over 50 years ago. It will also solve the problem I've had when flying in the evening from California to Texas, and upon landing I have about an hour left in the Challenge but my steps don't count because its after midnight in Texas.

So since this has been a problem for 6 years now, I wonder if they even read this stuff.
