Welcome to the forums!

You do need to pair it to your new phone.

As far as the data goes its on Fitbits servers. So once paired to your phone and you login it will all be there as long as you use the same email account

Hope to see you around!

Data is not stored on your phone.  Once it syncs, it is all stored in the main Fitbit database stored under your email/account so you don't need to transfer the data to new phone.  The only data stored on your phone is from the time since your last sync.

To switch to new phone, first sync old phone right before switching, to make sure all data from old phone gets to database.  Then disconnect tracker from old phone.  Easiest way is: from phone dashboard, click Ionic icon.  On Ionic page, click the trashcan icon at top right (might be slightly different icon on iPhone).

Then on new phone, download the fitbit app if you haven't yet, and log in using the same email/account as you had before.  Then go through 'Set up a device' as before to attach tracker to that phone.  At the first sync, the data on phone will all get filled in from the database and you're good to go.

Try looking at fitbit.com dashboard, making sure using same account as originally.  If you see historical data there, it is not lost.

Other than that, only possibility is that your phone had not been syncing for quite a while and your data since last sync is gone.  Try scrolling back further  to see if there is data there from further back.

I would expect dashboard settings to have gone back to default.  They are locally on your phone and are not part of the data stored by fitbit.

Hi Johnny,

I've looked and search at Dashboard@Fitbit.com. Unfortunately...all the data missing already..only one log activity is available ...that is in Nov 28,2018. After the date , no data is available.

FYI... almost everyday I've sync the activities and always review in mobile phone or notebook. Everything is fine until I switched phone.

Seems everything went back to default setting. How can this happened..?? If the data is safely located in the fitbit servers ; this will not be an issue... imagine all you hard work is wasted and some of the badges are also missing....

It's great to see you around @SamTBS. I appreciate the details that you've mentioned and I'm glad that you got a new phone and you wanted to pair it with your Ionic.

Sorry for the delay in the reply. I would like you to confirm that you're logging into the same account that you were logging before. You can confirm this by logging out from the account and back in. What I've noticed is that sometimes, it's missing just a letter or it's one letter more and that's why you're not seeing your data.

Thanks for the troubleshooting that you've shared @JohnnyRow and @WendyB

Let me know the outcome.
