My ionic died 25 months after purchase. It had gone dead about a dozen times over the 25 months, more so over the last 12. It died for the last time about 5 weeks ago. I spoke with FitBit support and after trying every conceivable revival technique, it was called after about 20 minutes of valiant effort by tech support. I was graciously offered a discount on my next purchase.
I threw the dead ionic in a drawer and ordered up a new Versa.
Went to Hawaii for 3 weeks to try and forget about my old ionic and have loads of fun.
When I got back and opened the drawer the Ionic had come back to life and was showing 0% power.
I charged it up and it has been working like a charm ever since.
So never give up hope.
