I ordered my Ionic a few days ago to replace my Charge 2 who's only problem is a cracked screen after nearly 3 years.
I wish I would have read this forum first.
Did I just waste my money???

@INTIMIDAT3RI would give it time. Since the Ionic was released I'm on my third replacement.
The first, GPS stopped working at 6 months, the second had sudden battery discharge at 3 months at the 4 day mark between charges. The current Ionic works flawlessly at nearly 12 months and I get 6+ days between charges.
I always turn the Ionic off before a charge and l then turn it on before charging and always on my PC.
In Australia we get 2 years warranty but cautious me always takes out extended warranty.
Keep in mind that most technical Communities, the majority of posts are about problems. I have been a member since 2011 and any Fitbit I have used has performed as expected. The Ionic issues, statistically I should have expected "it was my time", but Fitbit were always responsive and my replacements arrived within 4 days from overseas.

I hope you're right.
After nearly 3 flawless years with my Charge 2, I'd be extremely upset if my new Ionic goes "tango uniform" on me before the 3 year mark.

@Colinm39 I'm truly impressed by how patient you are! 3rd replacement? I gave up on this device after my Ionic died first (and last) time despite it's still under warranty. Just binned it and went with another brand. If this one fails too, the drill will be the same. Fitbit or not, I find hard to trust in the product that previously failed like that.

Well, I've had to do "hard" resets several times on BOTH of mine and have had BOTH die. I purchased one on 6/5/18, it failed about 4/1/19 (got to love the date), the replacement then failed 8/18/19. Both died on a full charge doing an update at stage 3, I think there is a pattern here :(. This being a Monday I'm putting off until tomorrow to get into an argument on it. I had hoped to use these for elderly people to assist their adult kids in monitoring them. Not a chance. It is also interesting to read about how their stock has been taking a hit partially due to this watch.
