I have not been using the Ionic very long but in the short time I’ve had it, it hasn’t been of much use. That’s because the activities that I do most in winter, aren’t listed. It is not possible to accurately track stationery biking or jumping rope.
I used spinning and the calorie burn seemed very low. There is no dedicated jump rope exercise and having to enter information manually kind of defeats the purpose of spending $300 on a fitness tracker. As it is, the step count is not as accurate as it should be and there’s no NRC. I’m thinking of selling my Ionic on ebay, especially if the obvious and sensible updates and additions come as slowly as they do from companies like Apple. Is anybody else disappointed?

I myself use work out mode for things that are not listed. I have set up some custom activities as well so when it syncs I can rename them.
There are so many different exercises out there it would be impossible to list them all to suit everyone
I use bike to log my stationary bike and log what my bike tells me. Takes 2 seconds to do
