Display only working when pressing the button and delay showing heart rate data

So I just got a new iconic and usually used the charge 3. Sometimes when I flip my wrist or tap the screen it won't come on. I have to press the button. More often than not when I look at it the HR is blank and it takes a se ond or two to show stats. It's one day old just purchased from best buy and I use the Jarvis clock face. Is this a usually thing due to the more complex gui or is my device bugged? Thank you for any response even if calling me an idiot. 👍

Hi @Jrw8580 thanks for bringing this to my attention, it's a pleasure to assist you with your new Ionic concern. Welcome to the Fitbit Community too!

Seems odd that you're experiencing such difficulties with your new Fitbit device. Since you need to press the button to check the display, I recommend you to try our restart process and let me know if this situation is resolved. Also, let me share with you that the Jarvis clock face is not an official Fitbit clock face, therefore, please change it to a Fitbit-official clock face and let me know if the heart rate situation persist. To do so, you can refer to: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?.

Looking forward to your reply, let me know if you have any additional questions.

It's better, if the device doesn't move I still have to press the button to get the screen to come on. I cycle train a lot and use it to log rides with my strava account. It seems that it still records the data correctly even if the screen doesn't come on right away. So it's fine to me, just makes it hard to quick glance to see my distance but honestly it's not a must. Thank you for the help.
