Hi
I have literally just joined the wold of looking at Fitbits.
I was looking at the Charge 3 because I liked the new Sp02 sensor it has to tracks sleep and I thought I read this is the first activity tracker that has it?
But then I was reading somewhere else that the Ionic also has the Sp02 sensor? Is that correct and if so is it the same or just as good as the Charge 3?
I like the Ionic better because it has independent GPS but actually I would always be taking my phone with me when I exercise anyway but my issue is that my phone is always in my pocket a lot and the GPS tracks me inaccurately - currently using Google Fit
Anyhow the Sleep sensor I thought only the Charge 3 is more important to me and if it's better than the Ionic in this department, I would choose the Charge 3?
However if the ionic has all the features exactly the same as the Charge 3 plus more I would get the ionic because I would prefer the colour screen etc
Thanks!

Both devices are touted as having the SpO2 sensor. Neither have that sensor active at this time. Expectations are that they should function the same once enabled. There is currently no information as to when the sensor will be enabled and how that data will be presented to the user.
I would recommend reviewing posts here on the Ionic board as well as on the Charge 3 board. This will let you get a feel for the functionality of each device from the users using them.

Hello @icanfly77 and @sfringer.
@sfringer Thanks for taking the time to share those details.
I'd say that @sfringer is definitely correct. To get a bit more information on the matter I'd recommend that you read this help article about how sleep works.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
