Estimated Oxygen Variation and COVID-19

Would it be possible to predict COVID-19 contamination using the data from the Oxygen Variation function?

I’m no doctor and I know Fitbit isn’t a medical device but I just wondered if there would be something in the data that would stand out since one of the indicators for COVID-19 is low blood oxygen. This could also be a predictor.

I do not believe the current batch of firmware/software which enables oxygen saturation allows one to read the SP02 in real time, but rather in a graph variation display while sleeping (correct me if I am wrong)?  If you wanted real time oxygen saturation reading, you would need to purchase their competition watches (ie. Garmin vivosmart 4, vivoactive 4/more current garmin watches / Huawei Honor band 5, etc)
