Every 24 hours Ionic Loses iPhone connection, requiring Full Factory Reset

Hi, unless there is a soft fix for a Ionic that loses connection to the iPhone after a day,  I will have to return it to the shop.

I don't want to jump the gun, but a full factory reset every day to get the sync to happen seems OTT.

The first time I tried all the reset/reinstall/restart of bluetooth and the app suggestions, and it needed factory settings. Today it "just" needed disconnecting bluetooth, forgetting the device, removing the ionic from the app, and reconnecting.

I may be wrong but this might be an apple issue. Apple in their desire to have the longest running battery time often restrict anything that may use excess battery and will disconnect apps to ensure longer battery life for their phones. They keep doing this with regular software updates that annoy the hell out of app developers as they have to constantly rework their apps to get around the heavy restrictions apple constantly impose on their products. Just a possible theory.

The Apple issue is a possible.

I've been using a Charge1 for a year and the same Ionic for a week before it started failing. And there was really weird behaviour when I tried to reconnect the first time - there was definite Bluetooth connection as the "Security Numbers" popped up each time as I tried to connect, but they couldn't complete the connection.

Also at the time of the last failure the phone still showed the Ionic as Connected on the bluetooth settings.

I'll see if there is a way to force the phone to turn-on/re-enable bluetooth for a device.
