I am experiencing an annoying problem with my Ionic that I did not have with my Surge. Here is the scenario:

 

  • I am in my garage prepping for a bike ride, so I select the bike tracking mode. I know that locking into the GPS satellites is not immediate, so while it's doing that, I put on my equipment and ride out of my subdivision. Five minutes or so after getting into bike tracking mode, I reach my starting point, I press Start, and the watch has already canceled exercise mode. Very annoying!

 

I was told by support that you do this to save battery life, but the self-cancel timeout is too short. I suggest either lengthening the timeout to something like 15 minutes, or provide a setting that allows me to specify the exercise self-canceling timeout. Accidentally getting into exercise mode should not happen that often to require canceling so soon.

Hi Lanuza,

I have 4 votes for this suggestion, but it's the entry in the Ionic Forum. Is it possible for you to transfer these votes to the entry in the Feature Suggestion area?
