So im beyond ticked off at Fitbit and its soooooo fishy to me what is happening.
In January 2018 I bought an Ionic.... I was so excited. The one I get, BROKEN from the get go nothing works, spent over a month in communication about it being broken and no one from fitbit really helping and then finally sending a new one that arrived end of February 2018.
So fast forward my 2 year warranty and everyting was working great. I love my watch so much even started paying for the Fitbit coach as of January 2020.
Then the first week of February my Ionic dies and wont charge (I tried three different outlets, 2 different cables on multiple outlets, I tried factory resetting, I tried leaving it on said outlets and cables for hours or over night, took it off for a couple hours tried again...)
I finally got in contact with customer services and they told me I was out of warranty of my original fitbit....the one that NEVER worked, from the get go fitbit sent me a faulty watch yet somehow that was considered part of my warranty? (I can understand if it was even 2 weeks that worked to then stand by their rules but not if they send me something that never worked, that is just wrong, and careless from a sellers point of view).
So after contacting customer service I eventually get a 25% off coupon only for 4 weeks.... funny how on that day my fit started working, like nothing ever happened, just on the charger magically started charging. 4 weeks of no issues and even letting it completely get empty to see if it happens again so I can decide if I want to use their coupon, everything worked fine. Last week exactly 2 days after the coupon expired my fitbit died and what do you know? IT DIDNT CHARGE!!! Same spiel again... tried it all again.
Dear fitbit, you are not a reliable company. I was faithful through and through. I told soooo many people how much I loved fitbit and Ionic. How I save my pay check to pay check life to get myself the coolest thing I have ever bought...I loved my ionic. I am throughly disappointed in fitbit and their customer service. It seems very very fishy to me how this magically happened at these times. I will now begin my search for a new water proof smart watch and step counter. Not sure if fitbit can get me back, and it does make me really sad because when the watch works....its amazing.

My Ionic lasted only lasted 25 days, and I got it in February 2020. I bought it from an eBay seller. When I purchase a new one direct from Fitbit, I hope I'm one of the lucky ones that gets a properly functioning device. I'm not getting my hopes too high though, all these complaints from other users is very discouraging.

Same here - 2 years old last Xmas and been playing up for a few weeks now wont charge - did the 0% a few times then nothing- Offered 25% discount - a 280.00 watch only lasts just over 2 years - Something fishy!!!!
