Faulty ionic says I did 134 million steps in one day.

My ionic has developed a fault and is being replaced.  But yesterday it has put the following stats on my account - 134,481,339 steps - 216,724 calories - 84 miles - 70,455 floor climbs.   That number of steps would have enabled me to walk around the earth nearly 3 times!

This has made my lifetime stats totally irrelevant and I really need the data to be erased or corrected.
Two calls to the call centre have failed to resolve the issue.   Surely it must be possible for Fitbit's IT team to remove the data.

Hi @Philsav,

Sorry to hear that. It sounds like you've set the all-time record for steps in a single day!

If you follow the instructions from this thread, and make the period from midnight to midnight, it should negate those steps.

Work out...eat... sleep...repeat!

Unfortunately, the process you suggested has not resolved the issue and I have referred the problem to your call centre under the reference #32245403.

Three weeks later, your "specialized team" have been unable to reset my data.  I am astonished that it has not been possible to erase data which is clearly erroneo

I had the same problem. Every time the second hand on the clocked moved it recorded steps. Now it doesn’t record steps or track heart rate. Spent all morning on tech support to no avail. They offered a discount on new device since it is a few months out of warranty. Obviously there is a major issue with the device or updates or something and FITBIT is not standing behind there product. Why would I buy another Fitbit devices if this is how they feel about their products. Total bs. Has anyone been able to get a resolution. I would love to speak to someone in the States that can provide an answer but Fitbit is hiding behind their Central Asia support operations. Any ideas how to fix this Ionic before a take a hammer to it and smash it??
