Hello,

This is to bring to your kind notice about my observation on fitbit ionic. Even if I move my hand forth and backwards without walking the step count is increasing. However it does not happen in Apple watch. What could be the reason

Hello KumarMK1974, I have a very similar issue as you but with a number of others.

I have logged 2 cases with Support but no response. Hope yyou come right

  1. Heart rate stopped working ( see email below) - I turned off heart rate, restarted watch, turned heart rate on still not working.

Then did a factory reset but did not get the heart rate working. Tried a few other ideas but still not working.

  1. Steps – After the reset of factory setting my steps would increase even though I am nor moving. I did approx.. 5000 steps for the day but my watch reflects 42000.
  2. After leaving the watch on charge last night, I put it on and my steps started at 10000 and then started decreasing.
