My Fitbit iconic is unresponsive, showing me the temperature warning symbol, not blinking the green lights on the back, won't reset, or charge. It is not overheated, it has been inside my 76 degrees house since yesterday afternoon. It was working fine before I went to bed and now it is stuck like this. I would really appreciate some help if anyone knows how to in this situation.

Hey there @SunsetRunner, its nice to see you around! Thanks for already troubleshooting this inconvenice with your Ionic, nice way to go!
While reading your post I was wondering if what you see on the display is an icon like this "!"? If so, what happens here is that your Ionic ran out of battery. That's why it won't respond at all.
First of all, let's make sure that your battery is being charged when it's connected to its charger. Have you checked if the contacts on your tracker or charging cable are not dirty? Dust and debris can accumulate over time and prevent a charge. Try cleaning them by following these instructions.
I'm wondering, where do you charge your tracker? Have you checked if by any chance the USB port or outlet is faulty? If you haven't done so, try a different port. A UL-certified wall charger will also work. Don't use a USB hub.
If so, plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or a UL-certified USB wall charger.
Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the watch until attaches magnetically.
Charging fully takes up to 2 hours. While the watch charges, you can tap the screen or press any button to check the battery level, but it seems that the screen doesn't come up at the moment so I'd recommend waiting those 2 hours and then go for a restart (once again) by following these steps.
Give this a go and let me know the outcome!
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

I had the same issue. I left my ionic on the charger overnight, after having attempted to charge it yesterday. I cleaned the watch and confirmed that the USB port was working by charging my phone with it. I am still having the same problem. The watch will not turn off, and the only response I get from the watch is the temperature symbol whenever I press the buttons. Is there anything else I can do or should I seek a replacement?

Hello! I’m having the same problem!! But I think that the watch is hot, although it doesn’t have any external reasons for it...

I'm having a similar problem. The temperature warning is on the screen and it is generally unresponsive except it has restarted 2 or 3 times, been ok for a minute or two, and then the temperature watering returns. It has been on my wrist the while time. I did swim with it a couple hours ago, but have been swimming with it regularly for the year and a half I have owned it. I was able to see the it is 80% charged on one of it's restarts. Please help!
